About Me

I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Mental Health Counseling with concentrations in Eating Disorders and Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA). I completed my internship at an outpatient mental health clinic working with all ages and a variety of issues.

I enjoy and have experience working with Addiction – Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA), Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Chronic Pain, Depression, Divorce, Domestic Abuse and Violence, Dual Diagnosis, Eating Disorders, Family Conflict, Marital and Premarital Issues, Mood Disorders, Obesity – Bariatric Surgery, Oppositional Defiance, Parenting Issues, Pregnancy/Prenatal/Postpartum, Relationship Issues, Self-Esteem, Self-Harming, Sexual Issues (Abuse, Addiction, Desire, Identity), Suicidal Ideation, and Women’s Issues.

I encourage my clients to find acceptance, happiness and contentment in life while finding the ability to make the necessary changes for bettering themselves and their environment.

Treatment Approach

I have an eclectic approach to therapy and find it most helpful to work with the client in determining which theories and approaches will best suit their needs. Orientations I pull from include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Modification, Emotionally Focused, Existential, Family Systems, Humanistic, Interpersonal, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Psychodynamic, Relational and Solution Focused.
